Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the LeadAtlas website, its API, and any data you export from it. By using the service you agree to them. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these terms.
1. What the service is
LeadAtlas provides a searchable atlas of business records derived from publicly available sources, described in detail on our data sources page. The service includes the web search interface, result exports, and a metered API.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be legally able to enter into a contract, and the details you give at sign-up must be accurate and current.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Plans, quotas and billing
- Each plan carries a monthly allowance of searches, API queries and export rows, shown on the pricing page.
- One search counts as one query whatever the page size; paging through results within your allowance is not charged again.
- Allowances reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Listed prices exclude any taxes or duties that may apply where you are.
4. Permitted use
You may use exported or API data for legitimate business outreach, market research, list building, and enrichment inside your own systems.
5. Prohibited use
- Reselling or redistributing the raw data as a dataset without a written enterprise agreement.
- Using the data for messaging that breaches anti-spam law or the rules of your messaging provider.
- Calling the API abusively, circumventing quotas, or sharing keys to exceed plan limits.
- Attempting to reach accounts, systems or data that are not yours, or security-testing the service without prior written permission.
- Any unlawful purpose, or use for discrimination, harassment, fraud or impersonation.
6. API keys
Keys are personal to your account. Store them securely and never place them in public code or in an application running on a user's device. You are responsible for usage made with your keys, and we may revoke any key we believe has been exposed or misused.
7. Data accuracy
Public sources change constantly. We make reasonable efforts to index and organise the data, but we do not warrant that every record is complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. Verify contacts before large campaigns and treat the data as a starting point rather than a final fact.
8. Your obligations when you make contact
You alone are responsible for the lawfulness of what you send. Before any campaign, satisfy yourself that you meet the data-protection and anti-spam rules that apply to you and to the recipient, that you honour opt-out requests, and that you identify yourself and offer an easy way to unsubscribe.
9. Intellectual property
The service, its interfaces, our classifications, and the arrangement and organisation of the data belong to us. Your subscription grants no right in our brand, code or design, and does not permit you to replicate the service or build a competing product from its output.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that threatens the stability or security of the service, or that falls into non-payment. You may end your subscription at any time from the billing portal. On termination your access stops, and data you exported earlier remains subject to these terms.
11. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or data, or for the outcome of campaigns that relied on inaccurate records. In any event our total liability will not exceed what you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision, and continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
